I have installed a customized message board for DB Legends. You can access the new forum here! It is nothing special just yet as I am customizing a better theme, but it does have plenty of general Dragon Ball discussion. The software is WP friendly, meaning if you registered on the site a while back, then you will not need to re-register to post at the forums. However, if you have not registered you will now be able to do so. Being logged in on the forums will also keep you logged in on the site as well. In the future I will integrate it much better into the main site. So, what are you waiting for? Continue toour new forums and begin your discussion amongst the community!
Oh and for anyone that dislikes our current layout, do not worry. It is just a recent used layout of ours that was put up temporarily. I will launch a brand new one that is clean and fast loading fairly soon, with a lot less ads (just need them for now for hosting/etc costs). So look forward to that.
This is just a quick post to get everyone’s input on whether or not we should add some forums to the site. The previous forums we had were not that very active. But if enough people demand them then I will setup some form of message board for the site. Discuss your opinion in the comments.
Originally only exclusive to DBTheMovie but now available on DB Legends. Check out this Dragonball Evolution parody video below. Please note that it’s meant for entertainment purposes only, and if you enjoy it don’t forget to subscribe to WeeklyTubeShow’s YouTube channel.
This post is just to inform everyone that we have officially come to the conclusion that all recent additions to the cast of Dragonball Reborn are in fact fake. No, we have not yet received official confirmation denying the recent rumors, but it’s safe to assume that they are both a hoax and incompetent approvals on IMDB’s part. Nonetheless, if you’re interested in what has recently been added to the IMDB cast list for Dragonball Reborn that we haven’t reported, continue reading this entry.
GameTrailers posted two new videos today for Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 featuring a battle between Pikkon and Frieza. The footage was filmed at GamesCom 2010 in Germany and is off-screen for that reason. Watch the two-part gameplay video below.
Many of you will know this actor from the movie Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, but irregardless, IMDB has added him to play the role of Tenshinhan in Dragonball Reborn. This cast listing is almost too good to be true for a live action Dragon Ball Z movie, so don’t believe one word of it just yet. They never did add my update of DiCaprio for Trunks, however they did approve my other submission when I made Hiro Super play the role of Raditz (he was there as an unlisted actor before). And on top of that James Kyson-Lee is also shown to play the role of Yamcha. Some say that is because he is up for the role of Yamcha with Joon Park like before with Evolution. Either way, this IMDB casting list is a total mess. But if any official confirmation does come out of this, you’ll know where to find it.
EDIT: A commenter named reuben claims he’s been adding these fake casting updates to IMDB. Of course he could be lying but I highly doubt it. So there you go. We’ll keep you updated if any other news comes to light.
IMDB Pro has updated the Dragonball Reborn page with two new directors, Stephen Chow (Journey to the West) and Takeshi Kitano. However I shouldn’t have to convince any of you of how unreliable IMDB can be. I am curious however how they came to confirm a new director, especially when 20th Century FOX has yet to make the announcement themselves. Anyone can edit IMDB of course, but each new addition is reviewed and must be approved. Does IMDB know something everyone else does not? Or is it simply yet another mistake on their part? Either way, as usual take this as a rumor and we will shed any light on it if possible.
IMDB has not re listed Joon Park for the role as Yamcha but instead has replaced that role with Tatsuya Fujiwara for Dragonball Reborn. He has been in several Japanese films, the most popular being Death Note where he played Light. But as usual, seeing how it’s IMDB again, take this only as a rumor for the time being. On a side note, IMDB has yet to approve my contribution as Leonardo DiCaprio as Trunks, however they did approve my version of the movie’s storyline.
Actually this only applies for the release of the Raging Blast 2 video game. According to FUNimation, the US release of the enhanced version of the Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans OVA will not be dubbed in English and will just be provided with English subtitles over the original Japanese voice acting.
The portion of the Eradicate the Super Saiyans OVA on the Namco Bandai Raging Blast 2 game – not ours, Toei’s in Japanese w/Eng sub.
However, they also suggested that they could license this OVA in the future to be dubbed by FUNimation’s English voice actors.
We have not licensed it and it is not in production at FUNi HQ. That’s not to say we aren’t going to OR that we are. Shoot. What OVA?
A brand new trailer for Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 has released at the GamesCom 2010 convention going on right now in Germany. In addition to some new character reveals and of course new gameplay, footage from the enhanced OVA “Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans” (which will be included as a bonus feature in the game) is near the end of the video. Watch it below and grab Raging Blast 2 when it blasts into stores (horrible pun I know) on November 2nd, 2010 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

Okay, that’s the cheesiest title ever but it’s what I’m going with so deal with it.
Hey guys, I’m the new staff member here at DBLegends.com. Actually, I’m the only staff member here at DBLegends.com (that I’m aware of… Avenged is the owner so he doesn’t count!)
So why was I accepted into this establishment over every one else? Because I’m the only one who wanted the job. Nah, I’m kidding. The reason is that I know this site almost as well as Avenged, and I know Avenged almost as well as… his sister? Wait, does he have a sister? Never mind. The point is, I know what I’m doing.
In fact, I’ve already contributed a ton of crap over the past couple days. I’ve completed the Modern Consoles and Modern Handhelds video game sections of the site (which I’m extremely proud of) and the Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Z Kai anime sections of the site. In addition, I’ve gone through the Dragonball Evolution pages and updated them with the latest information (as well as adding additional content and polishing the existing stuff up). I’ve also written two news stories which you’ve probably already seen below, and there’s plenty more where those came from.
So who am I exactly? Well, you might actually be familiar with me already if you’ve heard of the websites dbthemovie.com and dragonball.saiyanisland.com. I was the webmaster of both sites, which sadly (or not) are now dead. DBthemovie.com was the most popular Dragonball Evolution website on the Internet (yes, even more popular than the official Fox website, which, admittedly, wasn’t huge competition) and dragonball.saiyanisland.com was its “successor.” In mid-2009, shortly after Dragonball Evolution hit theaters, it was clear that interest in the movie had died down considerably, so I decided to transfer the site’s content over to a sub-domain of SaiyanIsland.com (dragonball.saiyanisland.com) and redirect the domain “dbthemovie.com” to it. That seemed to work, for a while.
IMDB is at it again, and this time they listed Isaac Jin Solstein to play the role of Goku’s son, Gohan. The only other movie this person has appeared in is the recent live action adaptation of “The Last Airbender.” Like always, don’t take this information as 100% official or anything since it does come from IMDB. Let’s see if they approve my addition of Leonardo DiCaprio as Future Trunks. If they do then we can debunk all these casting rumors. Stay tuned.
Believe it or not, but fan art for the live action Dragonball movie exists out there. I collected a few pieces of art that I thought was pretty well done. You can check those out below. If you wish to have your own Dragon Ball movie/anime fan work displayed on DB Legends, send it on to Avenged7x420@gmail.com and maybe it will be showcased in our soon to come fan section.
A new trailer for DragonBall Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP launched on PSN recently. Check it out below.
Also, a playable demo for the game will be available starting August 26th on the Japanese Playstation Network service. The demo will include six characters – Goku, Vegeta, Android 20, Android 19, Piccolo, and Krillen. Because the PSP is region-free, PSP owners in America will likely be able to download the demo as well if they have (or create) a Japanese PSN account. No promises though.
DragonBall Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the Sony PSP is a 2 vs. 2 tag-team fighter. It features 70 playable and customizable characters and various single- and multi-player modes that allow players to enjoy key missions from the anime series. The game hits stores in Japan on September 30th and in North America on October 19th of this year.
Dragon Ball Z Kai made its premiere yesterday morning on the CW 4 Kids. I myself didn’t get a chance to watch it, but I heard it was edited even worse than what Nicktoons did to the new DBZ series. Either way, if you don’t have Nicktoons and can’t afford to buy the DVD’s or Blu-Ray’s of DBZ Kai, then this is yet another chance for you to check it out. A new episode will air every Saturday morning at 10:00 am (Pacific Time I believe). To check out where this station airs near you, visit http://www.cwtv.com/stations.
