It would seem that FUNimation has given their Dragon Ball websites (www.dragonball.com, www.dragonballz.com and www.dragonballgt.com) new layouts. Usually when they do this they have some planned new releases to reveal. Could we see their own section for Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods? Only time well tell what they have planned, stay tuned.

Anime News Network is now reporting that the new Dragon Ball Z movie Battle of Gods did in fact reach it’s 3 billion yen goal for a new total of 3,042,017,581 yen. This does not confirm a sequel to Battle of Gods or a new series or manga continuation but the movie did exceed Toei’s expectations nonetheless. Stay tuned as we receive more information. As we reported the Japanese arcade game known as Zenkai Battle Royale has been updated with characters from the new Dragon Ball Z movie Battle of Gods. This video shows off a battle between Goku as a Super Saiyan God and Birus, enjoy!

For the past several weeks Nicktoons has been airing most of the Dragon Ball Z movies. Tonight they will be airing Bardock: Father of Goku, History of Trunks and Lord Slug (which also aired earlier today). It would also appear this is the last run of DBZ movies for the immediate future as they do not have any plans the next few weeks to continue showing DBZ movies.

Here’s a new Battle of Gods card for Galaxy Mission 8 from the on going DBZ arcade game Dragon Ball Heroes. Along with that the official DB Heroes website updated their background wrapper to some new artwork of Birus and Goku as a Super Saiyan God (which will make a good wallpaper for your computer!)

Robot UnderDog has released their 5th photo promoting their upcoming live action Dragon Ball Z movie project. The new photo is a live action picture of Android 18 from DBZ. Check it out below. Box Office Mojo has reported that during the final week of Dragon Ball Z Battle of Gods it only made $229,550 (US) which put it just short of their 3 billion yen goal with a new total of $29,947,013 (2.9 billion yen) making it only 50k short of it’s goal. This may not be exact numbers as we will wait to see what Cinema Today reports.

This rumor stating that Goku will appear in the next Super Smash Bros installment has started floating around the internet since yesterday. It originated from the IGN boards from a user named 100 Year Old Gamer which in itself gives zero confirmation and make’s it most likely false. Last year we reported that a Shonen Jump themed park was in the process of being built. It would include Dragon Ball Z, One Piece and Naruto themes. Bandai has now revealed several attractions involving this indoor theme park. Here’s a few of the Dragon Ball attractions. “Let’s Unleash It! A while back Namco Bandai posted on their Dragon Ball video games Facebook page (Europe only) that if they reach 100,000 fans they will announce something new. A Spanish/Japanese publication known as MangAnime has released what they say is a confirmation of new Dragon Ball Z episodes due to the success of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. A new trailer for Galaxy Mission 8 for the Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game has been released. It features scenes and fight sequences from this new mission including the new characters from Battle of Gods. New Dragon Ball Z books known as the Chōzenshū 4 (Super Encyclopedia #4) and Chōgashū (Super Art Collection) have been released in Japan today. They contain a lot of old material from the original Dazenshuu but also includes new drawings and material from the DBZ series such as Battle of Gods artwork.
