GameTrailers posted two new videos today for Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 featuring a battle between Pikkon and Frieza. The footage was filmed at GamesCom 2010 in Germany and is off-screen for that reason. Watch the two-part gameplay video below.
A brand new trailer for Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 has released at the GamesCom 2010 convention going on right now in Germany. In addition to some new character reveals and of course new gameplay, footage from the enhanced OVA “Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans” (which will be included as a bonus feature in the game) is near the end of the video. Watch it below and grab Raging Blast 2 when it blasts into stores (horrible pun I know) on November 2nd, 2010 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.

A new trailer for DragonBall Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP launched on PSN recently. Check it out below.
Also, a playable demo for the game will be available starting August 26th on the Japanese Playstation Network service. The demo will include six characters – Goku, Vegeta, Android 20, Android 19, Piccolo, and Krillen. Because the PSP is region-free, PSP owners in America will likely be able to download the demo as well if they have (or create) a Japanese PSN account. No promises though.
DragonBall Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the Sony PSP is a 2 vs. 2 tag-team fighter. It features 70 playable and customizable characters and various single- and multi-player modes that allow players to enjoy key missions from the anime series. The game hits stores in Japan on September 30th and in North America on October 19th of this year.
GoNintendo and various other sources are reporting a new rumor that a new Dragonball Z video game for the Nintendo Wii is on its way very soon. Like, a couple months away from now soon!
Reportedly developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco, DragonBall Z: Spike is slated for an October 2010 release. That is, if the rumor is true. Sources claim an official announcement will be made at this month’s Gamescom event in Germany.
The only previous Wii-exclusive DragonBall game was Revenge of King Piccolo which hit stores in 2009. If this rumor is true, it will join Dragonball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP and DragonBall Raging Blast 2 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 for this Holiday season. That’s 3 games within the span of a couple months!
What do you think? Real or fake? And are you up for another Wii Dragonball game?
Anyone remember that old DBZ animation short that came from the original “The Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans” (NES and Playdia) game? Well it will be featured in Raging Blast 2 and has now been confirmed to be in the US version as well by Namco Bandai. Not only will it return, but the animation itself will be a enhanced version of the original. A special preview will be available August 18th, so stay tuned.
Namco Bandai has officially announced the sequel to Dragon Ball Raging Blast.
Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 is the sequel to last year’s high-flying, fast-hitting, and intense versus battles series. Dragon Ball Z fans can rest assured that the destructible environment, and character trademark attacks and transformations will be true to the series. These include signature Pursuit Attacks which enable players to initiate attack combo strings, juggling your opponent in a string of devastating strikes throughout the environment. Additionally, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 will sport the new Raging Soul System which enables characters to reach a special state, increasing their combat abilities to the ultimate level. Sporting more than 90 characters, 20 of which are brand new to the Raging Blast series, new modes, and additional environmental effects, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 is the next evolution in the home console series.
A new DBZ game for the Sony PSP will be released sometime this summer. It is entitled Dragon Ball Tag VS and will feature a sort of tag team type battles. Thanks to Daizex’s forum, we also have a scan available (shown to the left) which reveals some screenshots and other details. Confirmed characters so far are : Goku, Vegeta, Freeza and Cell.

Thanks to Daizex, revealing bits of the storyline for the upcoming online DB video game (Dragon Ball Online) have been released. Here are a few of the most interesting parts of the storyline.
The Pale Man, Miira
The main villain’s (who was refered to as Pale Man) name is Miira, and the current main goal for players is to uncover and prevent his evil plans. Miira is a humanoid that was created in the Dark Demon Realm (Ankoku Makai), and invaded Earth in Age 2000 to try and conquer it. He recruits the remnants of the Freeza and Red Pants Armies and begins gathering life energy, then travels back in time with a time machine to try and obtain Goku’s DNA to become even stronger. Kami-sama (Dende) asks Trunks to prevent this, leading to the formation of the Time Patrol.
You may or may not know that in one of the recent Dragon Ball guidebooks, Akira Toriyama introduced the concept of Makaioshin, corrupted Kaioshin (Supreme Kais) that rule over the Dark Demon Realm (where Dabura is from). It was speculated that he brought this up because he planned to use them in DBO. Though I’m pretty sure Miira isn’t a Makaioshin, I feel fairly confident in saying that the female character he’s been pictured with probably is, and that she may be the one who created him.
The Human Race and Classes
Of the three races, the humans have the longest established culture on Earth, and they’re also the most prolific, having spread to all corners of the world, including the Wastelands. As of Age 1000, the human race has become cross-bred with the Saiyan race, and as such, many believe that the race holds a powerful, hidden potential. In Age 820, the remnants of the Freeza Army invaded Earth; the war and environmental destruction has given the human race an intense drive to protect the planet.
You may have also noticed that humans in the Age 1000 are well aware of advanced fighting techniques. This is all thanks to Son Gohan, who published the book “Groundbreaking Science” around Age 800, presumably introducing concepts such as ki control to the general public and ushering in a worldwide revolution in martial arts (details on this aren’t completely clear).
The first exclusive Dragon Ball game to hit the Nintendo Wii, Revenge of King Piccolo. It is a breathe of fresh air to any Dragon Ball fan to finally have a unique game without the “Z” in its title. This side scroller adventure is a must have for any fan.
The game starts out with the Adventure Mode as Goku and Bulma search for the Dragonballs. Adventure mode plays as a side scroller platformer with its own unique 3D type aspects. It plays unlike any other Dragon Ball game with its repetetive enemies and levels. But the plus side is its combat system.
A demo for the upcoming Dragon Ball game “Raging Blast” is now available for download on both the PS3 and XBOX 360 (in North America). It only allows a single player battle against the CPU with Goku, Piccolo or Raditz. It contains English voices and only allows one battle before going back to the Title Screen.
Also, the official website “Dragon Battlers” has updated it with a profile for Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta.
Another interesting note is that IGN made a top 25 Anime Characters list and two from Dragon Ball have made their way to that list. Vegeta lands the 21st spot while Goku has made his way to the top at number one. View that list by following this link. Here’s some quotes from IGN…
