Dragon Ball Z Kai Airs on CW 4 Kids

Sunday, August 15th, 2010

DBZ KaiDragon Ball Z Kai made its premiere yesterday morning on the CW 4 Kids. I myself didn’t get a chance to watch it, but I heard it was edited even worse than what Nicktoons did to the new DBZ series. Either way, if you don’t have Nicktoons and can’t afford to buy the DVD’s or Blu-Ray’s of DBZ Kai, then this is yet another chance for you to check it out. A new episode will air every Saturday morning at 10:00 am (Pacific Time I believe). To check out where this station airs near you, visit http://www.cwtv.com/stations.

Dragon Ball Z Kai Part 2 Release Date

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

DB Z Kai part 2Thanks to a member from Daizex forums, an upcoming catalog from Rightstuff has been leaked online. It shows a September 14th 2010 release date for the next Dragon Ball Z Kai home video release (Z Kai Part Two). You can view that scan on the right. Now personally I think this is a rather large time frame become the release dates of part 1 and 2. DBZ Kai airs on Nicktoons in May as well as part one of the home video release. So it appears most DB fans’ first impressions of DBZ Kai will be based on the edited version on Nicktoons.

Dragon Ball Z Kai Video Clips

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Nicktoons DBZ Kai RoshiThe official Nicktoons website has released several DBZ Kai clips. In these new clips we get to see a glimspe of FUNimation’s version of Dragon Ball Kai. But note that these are edited and will be as such when the series airs on TV in May. It seems that Nicktoons took a step further than Cartoon Network and is treating this series with the same kind of respect. Aspects such as Bardock’s scar, Roshi holding a beer and blood in general has been edited out. So for those that wish to see DBZ Kai in all it’s glory, I highly suggest buying the season DVD/Blu-ray sets, since those are 100% uncut and unedited. Check out the clips after the break!

New Dragon Ball Z Kai Details

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Dragon Ball Z KaiDaizex has provided some supposed new Dragon Ball Z Kai details for when the new Z series airs on Nicktoons. Note that these details comes from a friend of theirs that is said to work with Nicktoons and is not official confirmed. However, this new information is not all that unlikely, so I would say it is legit.

It was said that the television premiere of DBZ Kai will happen on May 24th 2010 (a week after the home video release of season one part one) and will air four days a week. An exact time frame is not yet set. The much more interesting bit of news however is that the music will be in English. Just know this does not exactly mean it will be newly created music. This could mean Kai will keep the original music with English voice overs (for example – the opening entitled Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku from DBGT). Just note it is all still unclear.
