This rumor stating that Goku will appear in the next Super Smash Bros installment has started floating around the internet since yesterday. It originated from the IGN boards from a user named 100 Year Old Gamer which in itself gives zero confirmation and make’s it most likely false. Nonetheless he stated that a certain Super Saiyan might appear in the next game although it hasn’t been decided yet, here’s a quote.
When asked if “a certain Super Saiyan” would join Smash Bros (since Namco is involved), he said it “hasn’t been decided yet, but there is a chance”.
Given that Namco Bandai is involved with the next Super Smash Bros does give this rumor a slight chance of being true, however it is very unlikely. Thoughts?
A while back Namco Bandai posted on their Dragon Ball video games Facebook page (Europe only) that if they reach 100,000 fans they will announce something new. Well it as long reached the 100k goal and they have yet to announce “their plan to conquer the world” as they put it. Today they updated their Facebook page with this photo and message.
“Thank you all! You’re the best and if we’re here it’s because you. Getting more than 100 000 fans is an incredible milestone, you guys truly are a powerful force. The plan continues, stick around to be a part of it!”
