DragonBall Heroes is a Japan-only DragonBall Z arcade game that uses cards to customize and use your characters in the game via a game board. This unique upcoming DragonBall game was featured at Jump Festa in Japan recently and ShintaCard blog has provided reports and photos from the event which you can check out here!
A few months ago, new Dragon Ball guide books released in Japan called, “Extreme Battle Collections.” These guides covered the entire Dragon Ball series, and you can find scans of both of them at Kanzentai. But what was most interesting about these guides was the brand new interview with Akira Toriyama, in which he answers several questions relating to the Dragon Ball manga and anime.
Although it’s unknown why or how 20th Century Fox was going to use this concept in the Dragonball Evolution movie (since the design was never finished), Harald Belker (a concept designer) recently revealed his design of a futuristic helicopter that was meant to be used in the film.

The first full trailer for the impressive looking DS-fighter Dragonball Kai: Ultimate Butoden has arrived. Check out the Japanese trailer below, which shows off some incredible graphics and high production values, as well as most of the game’s features!
The official site for the upcoming line of DragonBall figures by Banpresto has now launched. You can check out prototype images of the figures along with plenty of unique site features. If you click on “Tournament Table” via their menu, you’ll get a glimpse of the DB figures by selecting the blocks shown there.
This special discussion stage will last 30 minutes and it’ll take place on December 19th at 1:00 pm. We may find out more about the recent time slot replacement announcement which will happen in April 2011. Here’s hoping DB Kai will continue and end with the Buu saga. We’ll have more information available this Sunday when the event takes place, so stay tuned.

A splash site of epic proportions has released revealing an upcoming line of DragonBall figures. No detailed information is given except that they are being created by Banpresto and more details will either be revealed on December 18th or this new line of figures will release then. As of now, there is just a fantastically made splash page promoting the figures with cool background music and a live action render of the Tenkaichi Budoukai arena with a countdown widget.
The “pilot” episode of our new “Let’s Play” (a commentated video walkthrough of a video game) of Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury for the Gameboy Advance has finally arrived! It is unknown at this point what this means for DB Kai. It was rumored a while back that we’d only see 98 episodes out of DB Kai, so it’s possible it will not continue past the Cell saga into the Buu arcs. Episode 98 (which also ends the Cell saga) does in fact air in March 2011, so that adds some credibility to the rumor. We could see a delay of DragonBall Kai, it could be moving to a different time slot, or it could even be canceled. We’ll keep everyone informed.

Although this isn’t exactly Dragon Ball related, we figured we’d mention it anyway since Dragon Ball is loosely based on “Journey to the West.” Anyway, a small teaser trailer has been revealed for the upcoming film “Journey to the West,” which releases in 2012. Interestingly enough, a familiar actor from Dragonball Evolution plays a role in this film.
A new “Ultimate Butoden” scan from V-Jump magazine has been posted online by Wiiz.fr for the world to see. It boasts screen shots from the game which show off the impressive graphics that seem to be pushing the Nintendo DS hardware to its limits.
New details have emerged regarding the upcoming Nintendo DS fighting game “DragonBall Kai: Ultimate Butoden.” For starters, the official website has been updated with new screenshots and information. The website reveals the game takes advantage of the built-in Nintendo DS microphone which allows players to launch special attacks by saying the attack names out loud.
