DragonBall Z: Spike Coming to Nintendo Wii This October?

August 14th, 2010 by Doctor Adam

r718u9 DragonBall Z: Spike Coming to Nintendo Wii This October?GoNintendo and various other sources are reporting a new rumor that a new Dragonball Z video game for the Nintendo Wii is on its way very soon. Like, a couple months away from now soon!

Reportedly developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco, DragonBall Z: Spike is slated for an October 2010 release. That is, if the rumor is true. Sources claim an official announcement will be made at this month’s Gamescom event in Germany.

The only previous Wii-exclusive DragonBall game was Revenge of King Piccolo which hit stores in 2009. If this rumor is true, it will join Dragonball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team for the PSP and DragonBall Raging Blast 2 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 for this Holiday season. That’s 3 games within the span of a couple months!

What do you think? Real or fake? And are you up for another Wii Dragonball game?

Matt Mullins Involved With Dragonball Reborn

August 12th, 2010 by avenged

VegetaWell, here we are again relying on IMDB I suppose for information on the sequel to Dragonball Evolution. And according to them Matt Mullins (who was rumored to claim the role as Vegeta previously) is now listed as part of the cast for Dragonball Reborn. If ANY light is shed on this matter I will inform everyone. But for now, take this as a rumor.

James Wong No Longer Dragonball Director?

August 12th, 2010 by avenged

Dragonball Evolution Sequel RebornOk again this is coming from IMDB, but it appears that James Wong has been taken off the crew list for production of Dragonball 2 Reborn. He was listed as the director for this film under “In Development” not too long ago, but as of recently that is no more. The remaining main cast (such as Justin Chatwin and James Marsters) are still signed on, but again only according to IMDB. Could this mean they have found a new director to film the sequel to Dragonball Evolution? Or maybe they are just deleting one cast/crew member at a time as if they completely scratched the project. Only time will tell, but I can tell you this…

FOX has informed me the sequel is not planned for a theatrical release and could very well just end up as a direct to home video release only.

On a random note, if anyone has submitted any DB related news in the past few weeks I encourage you to resubmit that news. The contact form for that feature was not working correctly before but should be fine now.

Hiro Super Is New Writer for Dragonball 2 Reborn?

August 7th, 2010 by avenged

UPDATE : IMDB Pro actually suggests Hiro Super will be an actor in the supposed sequel to Dragonball Evolution. More on this if we get any official confirmations.

Yes a lot of you were already aware of this, I just decided to make a post about it just in case if it turns out to be true. Anyways, according to IMDB Hiro Super has been signed on to be the new writer for the sequel to Dragonball Evolution, entitled Dragonball 2 Reborn. This is not 100% official yet, especially seeing how the only source is IMDB.

Also I am getting e-mails from you guys saying 20th Century FOX will announce and/or promote the Dragonball movie sequel this fall during the New York Comic Con. Now, I would appreciate it if you provided any kind of proof to back these claims up. Do so in the comments.

Lack of Dragonball Evolution Movie Sequel News

July 21st, 2010 by avenged

Dragonball Evolution - Son Goku

Stay tuned to DB Legends as a sequel may in fact happen after all.

We all know James Wong said a sequel may not happen if the Dragonball film bombs domestically. And we also all heard James Marsters saying a sequel has been green lit on several occasions. But since early 2009, we have yet to hear any official confirmations on whether or not a Dragonball sequel (Dragonball Reborn) will indeed occur. Since then it has been nothing but speculation and rumors. I expected to hear something from 20th Century FOX on the one year anniversary of the movie, even it was just a statement saying the planned Dragonball movie trilogy is no more. Maybe it is just one of those cases where they want to forget it ever happened and move on, with some hope another studio will pick it back up later and reboot it.

So, consider the Dragonball sequel trashed and just get back to watching the anime (Dragon Ball Z Kai). If we do hear anything, we will try and report it, but I would not get my hopes up. Asides from all that, discuss in the comments on whether you would like to see a sequel, a reboot or that Hollywood should just leave the Dragon Ball franchise alone.

Dragonball Evolution AMV

July 15th, 2010 by avenged

The website known as Ginga Giri Giri (originally Vegeta Insane!!!) has returned online (as 3Gkai). This site has been known for really good DBZ AMVs in the past. And soon after 3GKai relaunched, they released a well done AMV dedicated to Dragonball Evolution. This music video basically compares the anime to the live action film and if I do say so myself, makes it seem like the film was very accurate to the anime. Watch it yourself below.

Dragonball Evolution Sequel “Reborn” Currently Filming in Mexico?

June 19th, 2010 by avenged

Ok, before we get any kind of confirmation from 20th Century FOX themselves stating that filming for this sequel has begun, take this with a very small grain of salt. Anyways reports from various Mexican Dragon Ball blogs are suggesting that filming either has begun or is about to begin for Dragonball Reborn. Here is that report.

From 01.06 on Tuesday began filming in the city of Durango, Mexico, filming for the next movie Dragon Ball, DB reborn which would be the continuation of Dragon Ball Evolution. This has caused cuts in the streets and remodeling in several places in the town. Many viewers have come to watch the recordings. This film is dated mid-2011.

Well will update everyone once we receive any kind of information ourselves on this.
