Toonami is set to return this Saturday, May 26th 2012. Jason DeMarco, former Toonami producer, has said the lineup will be kept secret until the new block airs. Does anyone remember the April Fools prank this year on Cartoon Network? Well if you missed out, it was a prank that Toonami had returned then and episodes of DragonBall Z plus other anime aired that day. So it is possible it was a hint of what to expect now that Toonami has officially returned.
And everyone should know by now that Adult Swim airs an anime block every Saturday night, so it would appear Toonami will be taking over that block and adding even more content than before. It has been said new original anime will also be included in the block as well! It could be possible we’ll also see DBZ Kai, here’s the press release.
TOONAMI – Beginning Saturday, May 26, Adult Swim brings back Toonami, the network’s popular block of anime programming. Airing weekly from midnight to 6 a.m. (ET/PT), in addition to the return of previous series featured in Toonami, Adult Swim is also developing new original anime programming for fans.
