The official site for the upcoming line of DragonBall figures by Banpresto has now launched. You can check out prototype images of the figures along with plenty of unique site features. If you click on “Tournament Table” via their menu, you’ll get a glimpse of the DB figures by selecting the blocks shown there. You’ll then be redirected to a cool 360 degree view of the prototype model. But since the site is in Japanese, we’re currently unable to provide any details concerning the figures including their price and release date. So for now, we suggest visiting the official website and viewing the gallery below to see for yourself the high quality of the merchandise.

Update: Watana Blog mentions that the tournament section is indeed a voting system for which models will be finalized. If that’s the case, that isn’t much of a selection in my opinion.

We also got word that the winner of this contest will receive 1,000,000 yen. So it does appear that every figure we see on the site will be finalized and released. What we see on the site is just a promotional contest, and the winner of the tournament shown on the official site will then receive the 1,000,000 yen, so this is pretty big guys.
