Dragonball 2 Reborn Removed From IMDB

IMDB has officially removed the rumored sequel to Dragonball Evolution, Dragonball 2 Reborn, from their listings. This confirms any recent rumors as fake. It also basically confirms that a sequel is not in the works nor is it planned for the time being.

A sequel to DB Evolution has always just been speculated since its initial release anyway. Even director James Wong said a sequel would not happen if Dragonball Evolution bombed, which it did. What does this mean if it is in fact not happening? Well, for one, maybe we’ll get a reboot that will finally satisfy the fans… or maybe the live-action franchise is done for good. Or maybe we’ll end up seeing a sequel further down the line with a new cast or crew. Only time will tell, and IMDB is certainly not the best source.

    I have to say I’m a little sorry to see it go. I really liked a lot of the casting they did in the movie and I felt it had intresting places to go. Oh lets hope for a reboot maybe done by paramount or warner brothers who will actually give it a decent budget. I think the movies biggest pitfall was lack of budget and advertising and fox insisting on a realistic, cheap PG movie. I think this franchise could be as big as transformers it just needs to be given a chance.

    I’ve come to learn that IMDB won’t accept a new film page without some proof that it is legit. I have tried adding pages before, but never got accepted.

    Dragonball Evolution was shit, we need a new director who has actually watched a saga of a Dragonball Z series. I mean a few things like the Saiyan Ape in the film, why was it not a lot bigger like the size of a building? Or why was Shenron at the end Tiny compared to the Manga Shenron? Correct me if im wrong but wasn’t Goku a child in Dragonball, not a teenager? Where was his flying Nimbus? Even shit like Goku’s hairstyle in the film was ridiculously wrong and Bulma, since when the fuck was her hair black? You gave the Director job to the wrong guy and they made a film full of shit actors (except Yun Chow Fat) who talk in that shit deep suspense filled voice that actors in films from the 50′s used to use. I would rather a Japanese Company rebooted Dragonball Evolution in Japanese with English Subs because then at least it would be more bearable to watch.

    That’s pity, i have enjoy the db evolution, but i understand it, but there are still people who wants to know what will be happend because you saw at the end that piccolo is still alive. Maybe they make it better next time and hopefully at the real beggining from son goku.
