Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans US Release is Sub Only

Actually this only applies for the release of the Raging Blast 2 video game. According to FUNimation, the US release of the enhanced version of the Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans OVA will not be dubbed in English and will just be provided with English subtitles over the original Japanese voice acting.

The portion of the Eradicate the Super Saiyans OVA on the Namco Bandai Raging Blast 2 game – not ours, Toei’s in Japanese w/Eng sub.

However, they also suggested that they could license this OVA in the future to be dubbed by FUNimation’s English voice actors.

We have not licensed it and it is not in production at FUNi HQ. That’s not to say we aren’t going to OR that we are. Shoot. What OVA?

Man this sucks! I really expected that they’d dub it and it’d be in pure HD. It will be in pure HD, but I won’t enjoy it as much. What about that new character in Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans? He’s supposed to be dubbed since he’s a character in the game.

I am sure they will use the JP dub voice for that. Don’t give your hopes up yet though, as FUNimation stated, they might license and dub it later on. I’d like to see Son Goku and friends return dubbed first personally, at least that is Akira’s work.

What do you mean Pure HD? It will be in 720p (what those game consoles are capable of) if that’s what you mean. And that’s unrelated to the dubbing.

This is crushing news. I can’t believe they won’t dub it. Get the license and then bring the old gals out of mothballs and dub the thing.

@Doctor Adam. Yeah man I meant normal HD; that was just another way to put it. I know that it isn’t related to the dubbing, it’s just that I wanted to see the DBZ animation amazing if it was dubbed, but I’m sure that it will be fine even if it’s just subbed.

i just watched this for the first time and it was awesome. But my boyz r a little to young to read. They couldn’t enjoy it as I did. Both my sons r die hard dbz fans like me and to have them not want to watch cause it didn’t make any sense kinda sucks. Dub it already. If you dub it we will buy it. Lol.
