Dragon Ball Z Kai to also air on the CW 4 Kids

In a recent press release, FUNimation and CW4Kids have announced that the English dubbed version of DB Kai will air on the CW in the 2010-2011 season.

4Kids Entertainment has reached agreement with FUNimation Entertainment and Toei Animation Co., Ltd., to license the U.S. broadcast television rights to the new animated television series “Dragon Ball Z Kai”.

Sneak peeks of “Dragon Ball Z Kai” will be seen this summer before the series premieres as a regularly scheduled program on TheCW4Kids Saturday morning block during the 2010-2011 broadcast season. 4Kids will also have “Dragon Ball Z Kai” episodes available for streaming on its popular www.4kids.tv and www.4kidstv.com websites.

So there you all have it, DBZ Kai should now get the recognition it deserves. Also, for anyone that is interested, there is a brand new commercial for Z Kai airing on Nicktoons.

    Is there any website I could go to to leave an email, where it might have a small chance of being read by someone on the Kai Soundtrack Production team? Not just a stupid fan letter but a serious suggestion about the Background Music in one of the later episodes that I’m sure they haven’t started to work on yet. Any ideas on a sight I could go to to? Thanks :)

    i hope that Ocean will NOT do a Dub for Kai cuz i live in Canada and i want interested in Dragonball z earlier soo i want to see Funi
    do it and…….. OCEANSUCKS

    Some parts of Canada can pick up CW affiliates either over the air or via cable, and would be able to watch it that way. Otherwise, I haven’t heard anything.

    I remember when Dragon ball was mistreated by the networks by being shown at 5 AM on Saturdays, then canceled for low ratings (What a surprise!)

    Then Dragonball Z was mistreated by the WB where it would be shown at 7AM on Saturdays.

    It wasn’t until Cartoon Network picked up DBZ and aired it at a reasonable time (weekdays 4PM right when kids were getting out of school) that DBZ was saved… this also allowed Dragon Ball to make it’s return.. Now that Kai is around, CW (formerly WB network) wants DBZ Kai back after mistreating it and letting another network give it worldwide fame? Go figure…

    I think 4Kids redubbed and messed with some of the animation…Its not as good as an internet dubbed.For example when the farmer shoots Raditz the gun makes the sound of a lazer beam of something and when he catches it and throws it back it sounds like an energy beam agian…Dam you 4kids!!!

    Not to mention they put a glow on the bullet, so that you can’t tell it’s a bullet.
