Will Avatar Fund the Sequel to Dragonball Evolution?

Website DBZ220 (link removed) claims to have information from a publication stating that the film Avatar could very well fund Dragonball Reborn and that FOX states many movies adapted from cartoons will emerge sometime in 2011. Here’s a translated portion from that website.

FOX had a lot of hesitation when the future of Dragon Ball Evolution. Indeed, the leaders were afraid to spend too much money for a second film. But since the release of Avatar the situation changed. While Fox has won the hispanic 2.35 billion with the film company could mean several film projects abandoned, including Dragon Ball Evolution. The newspaper also said, quoting a source as FOX NEWS, that many movies adapted from cartoons should emerge by 2011.

However that website does not provide any source material or what newspaper exactly he got the information from. The reason of my posting this is to hopefully clarify any of these claims. So if anyone can shed some light on this, please do. But for now, simply take this as another rumor that could very well be fake.

I contacted one of my FOX sources (from advertisement) and they could not clarify these claims. Still just speculation for now. I hope someone finds out what publication this exactly came from, if not then its just another fake rumor.  (Quote)

Not just for the hope of this movie I hope that this bit of news/rumor is true and not another DragonBall website shaming itself again.  (Quote)

Seeing how it comes from a no name site with zero sources mentioned, it probably is a shameful attempt to get visitors. I have yet to see any official word on this, so I will probably take their link down soon.  (Quote)

I’m French, and the site does mention ONE source, it says it comes from the English paper ‘premier’ – I’m pretty sure they meant Premiere – but I would not trust this site. It;s basically a blog, and I think they have already posted fake news in the past, although they have posted real news as well. Unless someone can get the proof from Premiere or Premier, I say take this as a fabricated news.  (Quote)

Hmm seems the Premiere Magazine was canceled in 2007 and only has articles online now, none of which talk about Dragonball.
