Live Action Super Saiyan

With the possibility of several sequels to the live action film Dragonball Evolution, many fans speculate certain Dragon Ball aspects brought to life. One of which being, what would and should a live action Super Saiyan look like? Many say long hair that is literally on fire would do just fine, while others want to stick to the original as much as possible and keep it all “gold”. What would you personally like to see on the big screen? Post your ideas in the comments, and feel free to provide drawings/renderings as well.

The picture to the right was drawn by DeviantArt member Rider4z. And I must say this piece is just amazing. This would be my ideal style for a live action Super Saiyan.

There’s some good books you can purchase in our merchandise section. I think there’s three cheap books that teach you how to draw Super Saiyans and DBZ styled artwork.

But personally I can’t really provide much tips. I used to draw all the time, but now I have focused more on Photoshop and vectoring.

personally for Goku, i’d just want to see his “Battle” Hair from the Piccolo fight at the end of Evolution Gold, Something simple and amazing, and I’d Also like to see a mini-fit from a Golden Oozaru before he becomes Super Saiyan, i think that would look pretty awesome

Yeah, that picture is pretty sweet. It would be amazing to see something like that. I don’t agree with the fire hair thing that people were talking about :/ Don’t know where that came from. I’d rather not have a bunch of saiyan ghost riders flying around on screen. x)

Well one example of how “fire hair” would work is from movie 4 – lord Slug when Goku reaches “false” Super Saiyan. Mixture of Kaioken and SSJ.

Yeah Justin Chatwin’s hair near the end of Evolution seemed more proper for Goku. I know he said he changed it constantly during production to get it right, but I wish he kept just one style through the film. Goku only has one style.

Looks good, crazy goofy smile though But yea keep up the great work!

RiderG –> I agree with avenged that the smile is a bit goofy, but aside from that, Goku’s Super Saiyan hair is a bit too short. Trunks’ hair being short works because, you know, it is, but with Goku it doesn’t quite work.
