The only actors that we have read/heard that said they signed onto three Dragonball films now have their IMDB pages updated. Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, Jamie Chung and Emmy Rossum have all updated their status on IMDB showing they are currently involved with Dragonball 2 : Reborn. The other DB Evolution actors on IMDB are not currently showing to be involved with Dragonball Reborn. But should we really trust IMDB? They have not been that reliable of a source in the past (ie the newsdesk) and anyone can edit the information. But it acts like the Wikipedia, seeing how if false information is added it is almost immediately removed.
Also, my FOX contact has hinted towards a direct release to Home Video with Dragonball Reborn. More on that later.
UPDATE : 20th Century FOX Home Entertainment has informed me that there is not any news on a direct release to home video for the Dragonball Evolution sequel.

I’m almost sure they’ve droped Wong. I can understand Chow Yun-Fat as not wanting to return since he’s probably ashamed of the first. Not sure why Joon Park isn’t with them. Even though it could possibly be direct to DVD I just want it to be close to what the source has to offer for it (a lot). I’m not worried about visuals though. Also, Mai was played by an Asian actor (Eriko Tamura). The film’s theme song was performed by an Asian artist and was actually in Japanese. It’s as simple as this. Goku and Piccolo are both based off of fictional races. Goku was raised in an Asian type society, Piccolo raised himself. Yes the creators of Dragon ball are Asian, but that does not mean every character is truly Asian. And if you want to blame someone for Hollywood creating live action DB films, blame FUNimation. If it wasn’t for them then the series would not be as popular in the states as it is.

How can any hardcore Dragonball fan actually like Dragonball Evolution or even be excited that there is a sequel coming out? I personally thought evolution sucked and will be genuinely pissed if money is actually wasted to make a sequel. They were no where near the source material, and they actually made Goku just like Gohan. Goes to high school, wants to fit in and find a girl friend, doubts his own strength, ect. That was just such a pathetic Goku and Piccolo was pretty bad as well… and even worse? Yamcha…. Are you kidding me? All in all, my opinion is they should just reboot Dragonball and make it full CGI like Beowulf was and actually stick to the source material (which is pretty much a version of the monkey king… almost). If possible they should blend some Japanese speaking characters in with the English speaking ones (Goku- Japanese, Bulma- Bilingual, Yamcha- English, ect.). I know this would cause for some more complicated story telling, but possible if the writers actually tried. They should also stop worrying so much about the damned spiky hair. It seems as if they were so caught up in that they forgot how Goku was suppose to act. To top it all off, Dragonball evolution was a disgrace to the franchise and anyone involved in the movie should be ashamed of themselves. Fatal(Quote)
