the version that u can download now just has the 8 deleted scenes, but boy does it make it better, the film flows a lot better the scenes also have background music so it doesnt seem out of place. i really hope fox releases the directors cut that all of us want to see

The version is the directors cut. But what most people don’t know is there are 3 versions of the movie. The first one has a different beginning and ending, that one was not the directors cut. The second one was the one the director decided to release. The theatrical release is the one the studio (FOX) decided to release. Fox messed up the order of the scenes, among other things.
I love the directors cut a lot better!!
From what I gathered from greenfrogreid is that he is trying to get the alternate beginning and ending version to put up as well.

A DBE director’s cut doesn’t seem very likely to me. Well, maybe I’m wrong. I’d really like to see an alternate ending regardless though.

No. It would be hard to make fan made stuff like that. It was just things here and there that where left out of the movie.

Because the ones I posted could have been easily made and/or from another film.

And you can tell throughout the movie that the music does not transition correctly from scene to scene. Take for example the Bulma vs Mai/Roshi vs Piccolo scenes.

Why in order for it to be a directors cut to you it has to have scenes you’ve never seen before. And the film was put together the way it was originally supposed to be. they are not going to get the Orkestra together for a version that is never going to be released. that would cost a lot of money. I am not calling you stupid, just think before you say something. That is all XOXO

But in all seriousness I did like the directors cut better made a lot more sense on how it was put together. I give it a 10 compared to the theatrical cut.

I’m a little insulted that someone would think that they could pass this off as a “Directors Cut”. Nothing more than the deleted scenes added in correct timing and order by some fan and a few scenes rearranged to make it look different. Its a shame that false hype is STILL being made. Grow up Internet.

I didnt watch the whole movie again, I just searched for deleted sceens and extended ones. The sceens wore cinda good, but some of them wore better not to be in the movie, like Goku lifting car… And car says: ”step away from the viacle, or your picture will be sent to poliice station…”. The movie for me is still not good to be called DRAGONBALL.
I think its a FAN made movie, because the new sceens have diferent quality and in the end when the credits starts the Draonball anime music begins. ( I dont think FOX would ever do such a thing)
But Im grateful that I could see the new sceens.

Yeah the one that can be downloaded is a fake. But that doesn’t rule out a true director’s cut sometime in the near future. There is a reason why I filed this under a rumors…

Anyways, we all know that there is a different fight scene between Goku and Piccolo that was redone last October to the current fight scene. There are also several other scenes that we saw throughout production of this film that never made it to the final cut.

guys you didn’t read the info box “This is sadly not the one with an alternate ending and begging. Averting fits together better and nothing has been cut.” basicly the one with the alternate ending ahd the other extras isn’t in the web yet.

Yes. It also doesn’t exist yet. Until FOX decides do get off their asses and actually do some work it might happen.

But what are the chances of FOX getting off their asses? The only reason why, I would think, they would release a director’s cut of the film is for a release to coincide with a sequel, but we don’t even know if there is going to be a sequel.

I have no faith for the sequel. Fox doesn’t care sh£@& about dragonball.the only reason why they did DBE was because not to loose the rights to dragonball. if they cared they would have given a bigger budget. c’on 30 million for a billion dollar franchise movie? cheap asses thats what they are. Give the rights to paramount!!!!

someone over on youtube has a link to an unreleased directors cut of DBE, this version supposidly contains things we have never seen, the person says that the beginning and alternate ending are not in it though, he also claims that this is the 2nd to last draft of the movie. im currently downloading it now and once ive watched i will let u guys know whats new.

*sigh* That is not the real director’s cut, it is a fake. You can easily tell when watching it. And FOX has informed me that they don’t even know if a director’s cut will ever release.

HEHE… yeah you can tell its FAN made, but I like it (well done the autor of the directors cut) I knew that FOX doesnt have time to deal with dragonball. Z edition was cinda surprising but directors cut… Dragonball Evolution didnt do so well like TITANIC so I dont see why would they make a directors cut.

I think the possibility of a directors cut is possible, because any movie observer whether they like it or not or anyone who has watched the behind the scenes feature would know it was more than likely that there were more scenes cut from it, from the beginning of the movie to the end the movie was severely cut, most directors do that because, 1 certain theaters could only afford as much as a 90 minute to 2 hour movie so the scenes that even could have made the haters appreciate it. 2 scenes both writers and producers have already filmed but studios don’t want to pay for them cheap bastards. 3. like most directors they keep the scenes they didn’t put in the final cut edit them and prepare them for a directors cut that would kill two birds with one stone: make more money for both themselves the company and those who have royalty rights, as well as give the audience, fans and non fans alike something worth watching as a way of saying sorry we made you suffer in the theater. look at it this way the released copy was 90 minutes long I’d say the rough cut before finality would be about 3 hours of scenes, retakes and outakes. If there was a directors cut there would be at least 1 hour’s worth of never before seen footage edited into the theatrical cut. That would make it at least 2 and a half hours long. that makes it more than likely that there will be a directors cut. note these are all estimates because I could be wrong and it would either be longer or shorter than what I put out there.
