Piccolo and Oozaru Concept Art

Here are some more concepts from the film, this time some artwork from the DB Evolution design artist Alex Tuis. This basically gives a general idea of what they possibly had in mind for Oozaru and Piccolo.

The idea was to make something original and a little bit different from the Manga or the animated tv show. At this stage, I did not know who will play Lord Piccolo.I worked only four days on this movie. I hope to be on the next one, with more time.

It would have been interesting to see those images, but I think that ultimately, the Make up design is more accurate. I like the wardrobe ideas, though. Kinda makes me wish they’d used those, but oh well. I’m perfectly happy with what they have.

WOW!! That concept art looks AMAZING

I’m blown away! I like how Dark and gothic it looks. It looks more true to the anime, but more haunting.
I would have been blown away to see them make Oozaru like that.

Did FOX actually show the guy any pictures of King Piccolo? These more like Jr.

BTW, DBK episode 5 is up on YouTube. Are we getting an English sub of that soon?

Whenever I look at some of these concept drawings it reminds me of Dragonball Z.

WHAT?! So they had these concepts all along? WHY THE FUCK DIDN’T THEY USE THEM? IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING TO SEE DEMON KING PICCOLO ACTUALLY LOOK FREAKING DEMON! Thats a shame, a damn bloody shame. I love the middle picture. It shows the transition from Old Lord Piccolo to his younger self. sweet
