Justin Chatwin was recently interviewed again. During this interview new images were revealed from promo shots/behind the scenes from the film. Here’s the video interview.
And here are a few of the new images from Dragonball Evolution.
The more behind the scenes footage we see, the more we realize how much of the Goku vs. Piccolo fight was cut. What good could come out of cutting a fight in a DB film…
Amazon now lists the domestic release date of the Dragonball Evolution DVD/Blu-ray for July 28th 2009. That is only 4 days after it releases in Japan. No details on the extra features in the domestic version yet and no official confirmation for the Z Edition yet either. We will keep you posted.
On a side note, we are going to set up an “easy navigation” merchandise section for Dragonball Evolution. Nothing major, just a couple new and short questions towards James Marsters (Piccolo) about Dragonball Evolution. James does say something quite interesting in this interview. Although it is over 10 days old, it is one of the newest interviews since the film’s release.
Would you guys like my review on the film? I did promise one 2 months back when it premiered in Japan and all…Anyways hopefully we hear some news on the sequel whether it’s good or bad. Stay tuned.
Dragon Ball Z movies, Fusion Reborn and Wrath of the Dragon, will be available on May 19th. These movies (DBZ movies 12 and 13) are of course in High Definition and remastered with the English voice track and original Japanese audio.
I’ am excited for Wrath of the Dragon. The main reason being everyone will be able to hear Tapion’s original flute theme.
You can order the movies from Amazon, Best Buy and several other retailers.
Here are some more concepts from the film, this time some artwork from the DB Evolution design artist Alex Tuis. This basically gives a general idea of what they possibly had in mind for Oozaru and Piccolo.
The idea was to make something original and a little bit different from the Manga or the animated tv show. At this stage, I did not know who will play Lord Piccolo.I worked only four days on this movie. I hope to be on the next one, with more time.
One of the concept artists for Dragonball Evolution has revealed some behind the scenes work of Piccolo’s Airship (Dirigible).
Doing concept illustrations for Production Designer Bruton Jones, I worked on the concept for Piccolo’s Dirigible started by artist Tim Flattery, then fleshed out the interior concept so it would go together with the exterior.
