Dragonball Evolution Fails Domestically

Variety has given the report for the domestic premiere of Dragonball Evolution.

Fox’s “Dragonball: Evolution,” managed only No. 8 in its domestic debut, grossing an estimated $4.7 million from 2,181 theaters. Studio had limited expectations for the film, which was narrowly targeted to boys.

This was expected due to the lack of promotion for the film. Box Office Mojo even reports that the film has only made $30,071,834 worldwide so far. Let’s just hope it make enough earnings in theatres to encourage a sequel.

I think they will learn theyre mistake if they get a sequel. Espically money wise, hopefully.
The movie only really failed due to no promotion and short runtime.

cant call it dragonball 2 (anything) you cant have a number to it, that would make it generic… needs to be like batman which has never had a number..

There is already a sequel to the movie and it rivals the level of Dragonball Evolution. If you look closely at dog fieces you will begin to notice the shocking similarities!

Dragonball Evolution is a good movie. People who just shout curses at it with giving a good reason they didn’t like just beacuse the storyline is changed are just showing their ignorance. I have DBZ seasons 1-8 and I liked this movie. Nice jump start for the new generation.

this movie is fucking LAME. the actors are mediocre at BEST,writer/directer needs to be banned from the film industry. you can promote this movie as much as possible it would never change the fact that its so far off the story line, and yes the story line does matter if your gonna make a movie based on a tv series you stick to the damn story line.american’s will watch any lame movie and tv series these days and call them great,so sad. all people do these day’s is remake movies and turn tv series into movies ect.its like all these loser’s watching those reality tv show’s wanna see reality? get off the damn couch. this movie should have been animated or atleast done with a huge CGI budget. these people have no common sence. for those who are true fan’s of dragon ball or anything else should know you dont need to adjust the storyline on a movie based off a tv series that have quite a few season’s and the animated movie’s i mean its one of the highest selling anime serie’s in america. why adjust something that did fine before hand. im glad i didnt pay to go see this “abortion of a movie”

okay listen ill make this short dragonball sucked bad they put no effort into it and all effort into it was a lame way to get the younger fan base from 12 to 20 but hey fox even 12 to 20 year olds have seen db and if they were trying to get younger than 12 what thieve even seen db so frankly this was an attempt by fox or james wong to make b franchisee there own fuked up image now unfortunately there will be a sequel so itll get worse and yes fox will make all the db to db gt franchise in the lame movie form so have fun with it theres more lame db movie to go its sad i know.
