Fox’s “Dragonball Evolution” premiered in eight Asian markets before its April 8 domestic opening. Director James Wong’s live-action adaptation of the famous Japanese cartoon series created by Akira Toriyama co-stars Justin Chatwin and Chow Yun-fat and drew $10.1 million from 2,110 screens.
Following heavy prerelease promotion in the region, it premiered at No. 1 in China, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore. The China opening tally, $3.4 million from 855 locales, was Fox’s fourth-highest weekend opening in the market. “Dragonball’s” No. 2 Japan bow produced $3.3 million from 540 screens.

Yeah I read that commnet already. I hope it is true. I knew for a while it was gonna be 100 min. here but not always a 100% sure but with all these articles now I believe it is 100% sure now. WOW! I just watched DBE… Even with low expectations… that was BAD!!!! I mean i knew the movie was getting bad reviews and that it wasn’t looking too good, but still… I mean really? That was the movie? I could have made a better movie plot and story with a $1000 and a video camera with my friends in the park! and i’m not being sarcastic! That was HORRIBLE! Absolutely no character development, mo offense to the actors, they have all been half decent in other movies, but the script was just terrible! There is no way i would want to see a sequel to this piece of crap. It needs a total reboot. The movie was way too short and every scene seemed rushed. Now i know the American version is said to have an extra 15 min or so, but there is no way 15 min. can save this piece of crap garbage. I am a DB and DBZ lover, I am 26 and still very much enjoy the manga’s and anime. But this was Dragonball in NAME ONLY! By the end i couldn’t care less about any of the character’s! Picollo’s character was not developed at all, so he did not seem fearsome or powerful. He did not seem like a threat in the least. The fights were just bad. Like everyone has said the bully fight was the best one and thats only because it was funny to watch them beat each other up. The fulums were literally in the movie for about 2 min. the fight lasts a whole 35 seconds and they are all dead. Ugh My brain hurts after watching this! If you think this is a good movie you are out of your mind in IMO, even if it was not dragonball, just some random movie, it is terrible, the whole thing is terrible. I hate to admit this but Street fighter was even better. This movie just ate dragonball and puked it back up and thats what we got, a distorted piece of puke of a once very delightful and pleasing meal which was dragonball. I can’t stress enough how bad this movie was all around, it was like a made for TV movie that you are only watching cuz you are bored to tears and nothing else is on. How could anyone like this… It is a sorry excuse. Oh man and that Ouzaru scene…pitiful, when Goku changes back he still has his Gi done up and it is in perfect condition. Ugh i need to get this outta my head.
I mean i give all movie’s a chance, and i always try to see the good in most movie’s. For the most part I enjoy what most other people enjoy and I am not too picky. But i do expect something from a movie, This movie gave nothing.
For any who have not seen this movie and are the type of people who expect at least a little effort put into a movie, then you will hate this, don’t waste your time… on second thought you have to see this, in order that you can know how bad this was done, but i promise the majority who see this will hate it. Anyone who likes it… I’m sorry but you have very low standards for your movies, this movie does not deserve to be shown in theaters it seemed like they put no effort into any aspect of this movie. The only part that was ok and mean ok was only some of the visuals looked alright. But the story/script/acting/running length were all just…wrong very very wrong! Just go see it and you will see what i mean.

hey man im a HUGE supporter. all my friends are dbz fans and they think this movie is gay. iv watched every video online and even the last 30mins. from everything iv watched its awesome, best live action db movie ever. cant wait to see it in theaters. DB ALL THE WAY MAN
