Barnes and Noble has stated that a Dragonball junior novel is currently being written by Stacia Deutsch and Rhody Cohon. The book will be based on the upcoming Dragonball film written by Ben Ramsey and James Wong. It will be entitled “Dragon Ball : The Junior Novel” and will consist of 152 pages. It will be published by VIZ Media and has a set release date of February 2009.

It seems promotion has started to officialy begin. First IGN posts their high quality version of promo pics and now a report that a book based on the Dragonball movie is being written. So keep a look out for official teaser trailers and probably some kind of preview for a movie based video game. Not to mention more high quality Dragonball movie promo pictures! Stay tuned.

IGN has recently posted high quality versions of previous released photos, including the two screenshot displayed below. Usually when a very well known company/website such as IGN begins promoting something like Dragonball means we may see a lot more promotion material fairly soon.
Ok, someone has leaked yet another version of the supposed leaked Dragonball movie trailer. It is only 4 seconds long (yet again) and appears this one may have been taken via the television. The user who captured this claims it was in Japan. If it truly is real, then that could mean the film is already being promoted in Japan. Please note that this is only rumor, and is more than likely a fake.

On Funimation’s calendar for the next month are the Season 6 “Cell Games Saga” Dragon Ball Z box. Sheehan described it as “seven minutes of uncut action” – then quickly corrected himself; of course, he meant to say “seven hundred.” September 16 will be the release date.
And if any of you cosplayers out there that attended this event would like to send in photos of your Dragonball styled costumes, go right ahead. We will display them in the soon to come ‘Fan Works’ section.
Otakon is another anime/manga convention, and guess what will be getting its own panel? Dragonball! The panel is called “Ultimate Dragonball Panel” and will be displayed later tonight (August 9th) at 7:00pm. Stay tuned for more movie and anime news/media.

Discussion on upcoming releases…Comic Con brought us absolutely nothing, but it seems this convention will in fact provide news. My guess…movie teaser trailer and a sneak peak on the new Dragonball special.

A high quality version of the promo poster for the new upcoming Dragonball Z anime special has been leaked. If you look closely you will see a few new characters, one of them in Saiyan armor.

Again there is confirmation that Akira Toriyama is behind the new Dragonball Z short.
Jenova Anime released a much longer clip from the fight with Chi Chi vs Mai. And is that Goku at the end that we see Chi Chi run up to hug? Sure is, you can hear her yell out Goku’s name!
Welcome the newest feature to Dragonball Legends, an online streaming media player. It is very similar to Youtube, except it is our very own! All past/future videos and music files will be embedded into the media player, but for now I added nearly 20 MP3s and a few videos. The media player has all your favorites, from Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan 3 to original Japanese tracks. It requires Flash Media Player to run, a download link will be provided if you can’t run the script.
As of now, it is only running on the one section, but soon I will convert the entire site over to it. Click below to visit the Dragonball Media Player or just access the link via the main menu.
Movieland has reported that this is a leaked dragonball film poster from Vietnam. Even though it uses the high quality picture recently released, it may be real.
Emmy Rossum (who plays Bulma) recently spoke with People Magazine in which she mentioned a bit about her role in the Dragonball film and that she had to do some strength training.
“It was really fun,” the Golden Globe-nominated actress-singer, 21, told PEOPLE at Saturday’s alice+olivia Perrier Jouet-hosted Hamptons fashion show, where she showed support for her friend Stacey Bendet’s women’s fall collection. “I still have my papers from the target practice at home, because I was just so proud that I could shoot it.”
Besides firing bullets, the Day After Tomorrow and Poseidon star also did a lot of strength training and kickboxing to shape up for Dragonball, which is based on the Japanese manga series.
“I got really buff and strong while training,” said Rossum, noting that her weight didn’t change but the tightness of her body did. Rossum called her workout “hardcore, but it was a lot of fun.”
Speaking of Emmy Rossum, she will be answering questions for the fans over at Emmy Online. We submitted a few of our own questions, but anyone should feel free to send their questions in as well.
There’s also this small interview with Emmy Rossum.
She mentions that she dyed her hair blue, maybe at one point during filming all of her hair was blue, instead of the few streaks.
The following two DB Movie clips are actually a bit old, but I’ve posted them here to show the people out there that have yet to watch them. The first clip is a DB movie cast introduction and the second is a small interview with Justin Chatwin (Goku) that mentions his role on Dragonball and how important the role of Goku is.
A few scans have surfaced over at Jenova Anime. These are in pretty poor quality, so hopefully we will obtain some high quality versions fairly soon. There doesn’t seem to be anything really new in these, but maybe we will also get a translation of the scans soon as well.
Either way, it’s only the third day of the month and we are getting Dragonball promotions left and right. Is this a sign of the trailer being released soon?
